SIMIFF is an innovative festival that reimagines the traditional festival experience. Our curated panels aim to boost filmmakers’ careers by connecting them with industry professionals. We facilitate 1-on-1 meetings after panels with esteemed individuals\, including Oscar and Emmy winners\, studio executives\, and recognized industry experts\, to maximize exposure and career advancement opportunities. \n\n\n\n\n\nDedication\n\n\n\n\n\nSIMIFF is dedicated to promoting and highlighting the distinctive creativity and cinematic contributions of filmmakers from across the globe. We understand your aspirations as a filmmaker go well beyond a single screening. The festival events that you’ll have access to as a filmmaker are designed to propel your career forward in a meaningful direction. \n\nJury trophies will be awarded to feature and short competition films in a variety of genres and categories\, including First-Time Filmmaker and our Ventura Film Award for locally made films. Selections and awards are determined by a trusted panel of industry judges. We recognize under-represented elements of filmmaking as movies are made by a team of talented professionals. Our awards include best Makeup & Hair\, Stunts\, Music Placement\, Creativity & Originality among other categories. Nominees and award winners will be celebrated with a closing Awards Show ceremony at the conclusion of the festival.

DESCRIPTION:Simi Valley Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills\, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. \n  \n  \nVisiting for the First Time? \nVisiting a club is an exciting first step in reaching your goals. There’s no need to feel pressure to participate at your first club meeting – you can simply observe if you wish. And since every club is unique\, it’s OK to visit several clubs before you decide to join the right club for you. Have a great first meeting! \nHow Do I Join? \nJoining is as easy as 1-2-3! \nStep 1: \nVisit the Toastmasters club \n\nYou may wish to visit more than once.  Visits are free and you may return as often as you like.\nIt’s a good idea to call or email in advance to confirm a group’s meeting time and location.\n\nStep 2: \nAt the meeting\, ask the President or the vice president membership for a membership application and fill it out.   New membership application can be found under the New Membership Application or on the Free downloads tabs. \nStep 3: \n\nGive your application and dues to the President or to the vice president membership at the club.\nOnce you are voted in by the existing membership\, the club officer will send your application and fees to Toastmasters’ World Headquarters.\nYour New Member Kit should arrive in the mail in about two weeks (kits outside of the U.S. may take longer).\n\nIt’s as easy as that! \nCome and see what Simi Valley Toastmasters is up to in the next few months! \nMeets every Thursday\, 7:15pm
