SUMMARY:Jrs Comedy Club: Matt Kirshen
DESCRIPTION:Since 2001\, Kirshen has become a frequent performer at London clubs including the Comedy Store\, and has completed several university tours. Kirshen was a finalist in So You Think You’re Funny? at the 2003 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and was named Hackney Empire New Act of the Year. In 2007\, he was one of the final seven comics in NBC’s reality TV show Last Comic Standing. In 2008\, he recorded a 30-minute special for Paramount Comedy\, now known as Comedy Central (UK and Ireland). In 2009\, he co-wrote and starred in the BBC Radio 4 sketch comedy series Bigipedia. He also released an album entitled I Guess We’ll Never Know\,[4] which ranked in Punchline magazine’s Top 10 comedy albums of 2009.[5] In an appearance on the podcast International Waters\, he vowed that “the world has seen the last of The Wilf”\, although when pressed\, he joked\, “Well\, I guess we’ll never know”\, in reference to his album of the same name.[6] In 2016\, Kirshen voiced Hugh on The Loud House episode “Study Muffin”. His international stand-up performances include Singapore\, Dubai\, the Netherlands\, Germany\, and France.[3] \nKirshen wrote for The Jim Jefferies Show on Comedy Central\,[7] for which he was nominated for a 2018 Writers Guild of America Award\,[8] and for season 5 of Arrested Development. \n  \nPlease note\, there is a 2 item per person minimum in the showroom. \nIf you are planning to have dinner\, please note that you should arrive between 5:30 and 6:00. SUMMARY:Jrs Comedy Club: Jeff "Big Daddy" Wayne
DESCRIPTION:Jeff Wayne\, known as Big Daddy\, is an American standup comedian who has performed in clubs\, theaters and on national television shows. \nWayne was born and raised in Northern Kentucky. At age 14\, he decided he wanted to become a stand-up comedian. As a young man\, he moved to Los Angeles to become part of The Comedy Store. Developing an act and writing his own material\, Wayne was soon traveling to comedy clubs around the United States. He became aheadline act on the circuit\, working the Improv clubs\, Funny Bones clubs\, and other comedy clubs. Wayne also did five tours for Carlsberg Beer in Europe. \nIn 1993\, Wayne wrote and performed his one-man show\, Big Daddy’s Barbeque.[1] Directed by Ted Lange\, the show was a popular and critical success. Big Daddy’s Barbeque ran for 16 weeks in Dallas and 10 weeks in Tempe and Seattle. Variety called the show a “one man riot” and declared Wayne “a new Will Rogers“. The show was a pilot for television first for NBC\, then UPN. Wayne has performed Big Daddy’s Barbeque over 1\,000 times. \nWayne has performed on TV shows on HBO\, Showtime\, A&E\, Fuse TV\, CNN\, and FOX. He has also appeared on radio shows including Dennis Prager\, Bob and Tom\, NPR\, Mancow\, Larry Elder\, Gary Burbank\, Ken and John\, and Bob Grant. Wayne has four nationally released CDs on the Uproar comedy label. Such publications as The New York Times\, the Los Angeles Times\, The Cleveland Plain Dealer\, The Washington Post\, and Sondags B.A. (Oslo\, Norway) have written about Wayne.[citation needed] \nWayne lives in Los Angeles and is the divorced father of three.
